Ziead is a PhD student in TU Delft, faculty of architecture. He is working in reinforcement learning-based algorithms in life cycle cost optimizations for structural systems and networks taking into account stochastic deterioration.

Ziead holds an MSc from the university of Alberta, Canada. During his MSc, he developed different analytic and numerical models to assess the out-of-plane behaviour of reinforced masonry walls, studied the probabilistic behaviour and reliability of masonry walls considering uncertainties inherited in geometry and material properties emphasizing on failure modes, slenderness ratio and model error effect. In addition, different machine learning-based algorithms were used to correct the model bias under scarce data.
